Review on China Med 2013 (part Ⅱ)

Domestic and International Renowned Companies Positively Participated in China Med 2013 with Latest Products

“International, professional, high-quality and high-tech” are the key words that relate to China Med 2013. The exhibition continued to serve as a high-profile business information platform for the medical device industry. GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, Varian, Elekta, Carestream, Roche, Mindray, Shinva, Johnson & Johnson, Maquet, Lepu, Wego, Yuyue and Aeonmed all presented a wide range of innovative products and solutions to maintain their leading positions in the industry. They cover all aspects of the medical device sector, for example, diagnostic products, laboratory equipment, disposables and consumables, medical technologies, related information & communication technologies and medical services.

China Med 2013 attracted 540 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, who were seeking to embrace the fast development momentum and great potential of the Chinese medical devices market. Big companies from Germany and Japan continued to be present in the pavilions. Together with the North American, European and Asian brand zones, the China Med 2013 was a larger and more international trade show than witnessed before.

In accordance with the product range, China Med 2013 was divided into several special zones, namely Domestic Examination, Medical Consumables, Orthopedics and Medical Rehabilitation Equipments. Moreover, for the first time this year, a special zone was set up for military medical equipment. All the feature zones presented the latest developments and trends in medical related fields so as to create an effective trading platform for all.

In addition, an exhibition for the promotion of military medical and health achievements, organized by the Health Department of the People’s Libration Army General Logistics Department, was held simultaneously with the China Med 2013. It aims were to demonstrate the R&D strength and capability of the army in medicine and health, promote practical research achievements for military and civil purposes, and facilitate commercialization of technological results. Medical and health units from the army showcased over 600 research achievements in exhibition hall 4A, attracting much attention.
